1 What is the mind?
The mind, i.e. the Universe, is the power to regulate all creation. All other things are the expression of it. Accordingly, the original mind (the mind as it was in the original state) is always the basis of everything. It is most important not to stray away from the original mind. The most important factor in the training is the mind. The mind is controlled by breathing. The place where everything comes back to oneness is the mind. The mind must always be clear, bright and warm. The mind is controlled by Jung-dan.
2 How does the mind evolve?
The mind evolves by developing spirituality. The development of spirituality does not occur if you are content with your present state. Only when you have overcome the difficulties that arise from daily life does it evolve. It is because the more developed spirituality is, the better we understand the principle of the Universe. Everything becomes brighter and it is hard to commit wrong. Since it is difficult to develop spirituality if one follows the principle of human beings, the holy men have left, in several ways, many writings which give people the basic knowledge on how to achieve enlightenment. Even if people follow the teaching, at the final stage they also have to take steps towards development of spirituality. That is the training.
3 How can we put our mind in order?
The way to put the mind in order is not to pursue several goals at the same time other than the main one. In other words, if one does the training, one must concentrate on the training and if one does creative work, one must concentrate on creative work only. One must not pay much attention to things secondary to it, such as human relationships. Everything is pre-determined to roll forward within its limits. If a thing is done in the right way, the rest of it will automatically follow in this track. If one can concentrate on one thing, this is exactly what puts ones mind in order.
4 Is it requisite that we should forgo first the things that are the most important to us?
Since training itself is mind training, we have to be able to forgo things that we believe to be important and to know that they really become ours once we have relinquished them. Forgoing something means expanding the boundaries of ones mind. If you are reluctant to forgo something, it will cause pain. There are many crises before you attain the joy of true forgoing things.
5 What does forgoing mean?
Saying that training means forgoing everything signifies that I forgo evil and futile things in order to fill myself with genuine things. Precisely, true things means the main body of the Universe, i.e. my original self. By filling myself with my original self, I gradually change from my present self into my original Self.
6 Should we be careful about what we imagine?
Imagination is the most basic part which makes our consciousness determine its direction. The basic direction of every person's life is determined by this imagination. If we imagine something several times, it already starts to take shape in our mind and gradually moves to the next stage of becoming an aim. Of all the abilities that human beings have, there is none as formidable as imagination. Control of consciousness starts with this imagination and if the right direction is taken from there, then at the next stage there is no other option but to push forward, with breathing. You must never take imagination carelessly. Imagination enables faster training.
